Job Description

• Write test program and test patterns to test silicon in a production line.
• Interpret product specifications to develop test program structure and test patterns.
• Code test patterns in Open ATE SDK using C/C++.
• Write software for data post processing.
• Assist in creating platform in Python that post processes data generated by PXI tester into human readable excel format data histograms, distributions, and summaries.
• Instantiate and maintain AWS database platform (developed in Python) for long term data hosting, storage, and analysis.
• Debug test yield issues for ramping new products.
• Analyze test failures to isolate real product issues versus program problems.
• Using common electronic debug tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters and protocol analyzers, root cause and rectify any issues with the program.
• Ensure program is functional beyond R&D in a large-scale, high parallelism, noisy production environment.
• Debug test time issues for ramping new products.
• Using Pareto analysis, determine methods of increasing throughput without impacting yield.
• Using pre and post Pareto analysis of yield, determine that test program efficiencies have not resulted in any increase in product defects.
• Development of test yield and test time improvement plans.
• Plan multiple months of work to take product into high volume production with low PPM.
• Technically supervise the execution of yield and test time improvement plans with offshore production test teams in Taiwan.
• ATE Tester hardware bring-up and debug.
• Work with offshore Taiwan vendors to ensure bring-up and reliable behavior of any new test hardware added on the production line.
• New product test hardware definition and bring-up.
• Help define next generation hardware and software requirements to reliably test a large number of units in a production environment in a minimal amount of time.

Minimum Requirements

• The minimum requirements of this position are a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree and one year of experience in software engineering. The Test Engineer I must have one year of experience in MS Excel and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl, etc. Familiarity with C++ , Python and protocol analyzers.
