Position SummaryNeptune's Digital and Information Technology team (DIGIT) is transforming technology delivery, adoption, and enablement at Neptune, through deliberate stakeholder engagement, organizational change management discipline, rigorous reporting, and close cross-team collaboration across the CIO/CISO organization.
The Technology Experience & Adoption Strategist is critical to this transformation. This new role will lead organizational change management for technology initiatives, including change impact assessment, stakeholder communications, training and enablement, and adoption measurement for technology initiatives across DIGIT. At the same time, this role will help define Neptune's future-state technology landscape, with discovery work to understand how colleagues experience Neptune's IT systems today and to build the business case for improving that experience. This is a senior individual-contributor role: the person in it works independently, owns a program end to end, and sets the strategy for how Neptune's colleagues adopt new technology, not just the materials that support it.
This role reports directly to the Director of Digital and Information Technology.
What You'll DoColleague Experience & Business Analysis- Lead Neptune's colleague technology experience program, including periodic discovery sessions to understand colleagues' current-state experience with Neptune's technology systems and identify pain points, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assess future-state options, feasibility, and impact of improvements, and develop business requirements and business cases to support prioritization and investment decisions.
- Define acceptance criteria and process requirements for approved improvements and work with the assigned PMO project manager to translate them into initiatives ready for execution by the Service Desk and other DIGIT delivery teams.
Change Impact, Stakeholder Communication & Enablement- Lead impact assessments for new technology initiatives, identifying who is affected, how, and what they need to adapt successfully.
- Own stakeholder communications planning and execution for these initiatives: develop audiences, messaging, and supporting artifacts, and communicate why changes are happening, how they'll roll out, and how they'll affect colleagues.
- Own the AI tools enablement program for Neptune colleagues, from strategy through delivery, including onboarding materials and ongoing training and communications on policies and best practices.
- Design and facilitate training sessions and workshops, and build supporting materials (job aids, quick-reference guides) that help colleagues adopt change with minimal disruption to their work.
Change Impact, Stakeholder Communication & Enablement- Monitor and track the effectiveness and adoption of technology rollouts, using reporting and dashboarding tools to identify trends over time.
- Own the recurring cadence of AI usage and adoption reporting to leadership, including cost and utilization trends by team.
- Recommend adjustments to communications, training, or rollout pacing based on adoption data and direct stakeholder feedback.
Documentation & Cross-Team Coordination- Maintain current, accurate documentation of changes, including the impact assessments, communications plans, training materials, and business requirements.
- Work across Network Services, Infrastructure Services, Platform & Ops Engineering, Cloud Operations, and Service Delivery & Experience, to sequence implementation, change communications, and training around each team's rollouts.
- Serve as the coordination point for technology vendor lifecycle and financial management, tracking contract renewal deadlines, flagging spend anomalies and vendor performance concerns, and routing them to leadership for action.
What You'll BringRequired- 5+ years of experience in change management, business analysis, IT communications, training and development, or a related colleague-facing technology role, with demonstrated ownership of a related program.
- Experience conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, or current-state/future-state analysis, and translating findings into plans, requirements, or business cases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Viva Engage, and Teams.
- Working familiarity with modern AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar) and comfort learning new ones as the landscape evolves.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate technical change into colleague-friendly messaging and training.
- Comfort working as an individual contributor across a matrixed, cross-functional organization, managing multiple concurrent initiatives without close supervision.
Preferred- A recognized change management credential or a relevant certification in IT, information/cybersecurity, or AI.
- Exposure to technology vendor lifecycle and/or financial management.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) or digital experience platform (DXP).
- Experience with reporting and dashboarding tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
