Full Job Description
Your role
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing the highest levels of field service support which will directly drive the development and growth of Edwards sales and service business. Areas of support typically cover installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of all Edwards products, with key areas of focus being Safety, Quality and Customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manages relevant internal and customer training programs.
  • Provides guidance to end users about equipment maintenance practices and schedules.
  • Assists Edwards service and customer technicians with trouble shooting.
  • Supports installation and commissioning of all products.
  • Reviews installation and commissioning documents for all products.
  • Provides sites with 'first line' support for down equipment part numbers and specification requests.
  • Develops and cascdes accurate new procedures.
  • Develops and maintains good customer relationships.
  • Provides technical and sales support to customers directly or through Service or Sales Management.
  • Identifies future sales and evaluation opportunities with customer base.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully takes direction from [supervisor/ manager] and other duties as assigned.
To succeed, you will need
You have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical discipline or global equivalent in education or experience and 10 or more years of professional experience within Technical Support environment with two years experience in a management or leadership role. We are also looking for:

Education level
  • Formal qualification in a mechanical, electromechanical or electronics discipline.


Relevant Previous experience
  • Minimum 5 years field experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally with a strong customer facing bias.


Knowledge areas/Skills
  • Knowledge and experience of the principles of electrical or mechanical component constructions and assembly.

Other requirements
  • Computer literate with a good command of MS excel, word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize activities and workload.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to fault find in a logical manner through to resolution of issues.

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at one of our locations in Dallas, TX or Austin, TX.
Salary range is expected to be $107,500 - $120,000 annually. Salary is based on location average. Final salary may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, job-related skills, internal peer equity, etc.
