Full Job Description
About Watershed

Watershed is the enterprise sustainability platform. Companies like Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens use Watershed to manage climate and ESG data, produce audit-ready metrics for voluntary and regulatory reporting including CSRD, and drive real decarbonization. We are looking for team members who love product-building, want to work hard at a mission-oriented startup, and will collaborate with us in shaping the culture of a growing team.

We have offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Mexico City, and remote team members across the US and Europe. We hope that you'll be interested in joining us!

The role

We're hiring a Technical recruiter to partner closely with our R&D leaders as we scale our AI, Engineering, and Product teams across a range of roles and locations. You'll own end-to-end recruiting, from intake through signed offer, plus the operating cadence, metrics, and stakeholder relationships that make it all run. You'll also have the opportunity to impact global roles and new teams as we expand and help build out more programmatic hiring as we scale. This is an opportunity to apply a passion for AI and technology to the mission of accelerating the climate economy and building a more sustainable future!

What you'll do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles with the primary focus on engineering: intake, sourcing, calibration, structured assessment, stakeholder alignment, and closing
  • Be a strategic partner to engineering, product, and design leaders
  • Build diverse, high-quality pipelines using a mix of outbound sourcing, referrals, campaigns, and targeted market mapping
  • Actively partner on weekly pipeline reviews, SLAs, interview panel training, debriefs, and retros
  • Design and manage structured interviews, scorecards, and analytics to improve signal and reduce bias
  • Track and report core recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline mix, pass-through rates, offer acceptance)
  • Support global hiring needs as we expand and help stand up new teams or hire for new-to-Wateshed roles

You might be a fit if you:
  • Have 4+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably with experience in high-growth companies, focused on engineering, product, and/or data science roles
  • Have excellent selling and closing skills backed up by real results and examples
  • Have a passion for how AI and technology can accelerate the climate economy and sustainability efforts
  • Have the ability to repeatedly build pipelines from scratch to find the absolute best people for the team, balancing excellence and diversity in pipelines
  • Hold the candidate experience sacred and are able to manage the candidate process while acting as a candidate advocate
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Are technically savvy and curious

Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week (except for remote roles)

Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City and satellite offices in Sydney, Paris, and Berlin. Where we have offices, employees are expected to be in office for 4 days per week. Certain jobs are open to being remote and will be specifically noted on the jobs page and in the job description if so.

What's the interview process like?

It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience interview (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel. We prioritize transparency and lack of surprise throughout the process.

What if I need accommodations for my interview?

At Watershed, we are dedicated to ensuring an inclusive recruitment process. We provide reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities, long-term conditions, mental health needs, religious observances, neurodivergence, or pregnancy-related support requirements. If you need assistance during your process, please contact your recruiter.
