The Opportunity

The Talent Public Relations Associate Director is instrumental in boosting the firm's visibility and Talent brand to candidates, clients and employees through thought leadership, earned storytelling and social media. This individual leads, develops and implements integrated public relations programs that support firm priorities and protect the EY brand in the market, across workforce evolution, AI, talent attraction and acquisition, inclusiveness, learning and development, career experiences and wellbeing. The role will focus on media relations, brand building and executive eminence and will collaborate across the EY Talent function, the EY Brand, Marketing & Communications ecosystem, and the firm's PR agencies.

Your key responsibilities
  • Public Relations Execution: Create and manage the PR program for the US Talent function. Deploy tactics to proactively influence brand perception of EY, including proactive thought leadership campaigns, reactive media responses, "newsjacking" and thematic pitching.
  • Media Relations and Storytelling: Build and maintain relationships with journalists across top-tier general interest, business and trade publications. Secure and maintain positive media coverage for priority areas of focus. Develop and execute Talent top stories program. Strategically identify and vet media opportunities.
  • Executive thought leadership and social strategy: Manage social media strategy for executives and programs, including content creation, executive positioning, amplificaiton and risk assessment.
  • Agency management: Lead day-to-day management of external PR agency relationships.
  • Content creation: Oversee the development of materials, including media briefings, press releases, byline articles and Q&As, among other deliverables, to enhance brand visibility.
  • Stakeholder management: Serve as a strategic advisor to executives to effectively conduct media trainings, messaging development, interview preparation and more related to PR opportunities.
  • Measurement and analysis: Evaluate and report on PR outcomes and impact. Continuously evaluate and make necessary adjustements and recommendations to further refine planning, strategy and activation of ongoing PR program.
  • Crisis Management: Provide crisis management support, including message development, and assist leadership in navigating sensisitivies, as needed.


To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) leading public relations programs, particularly with highly regulated organizations and preferably at a PR or communications agency.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership skills: The ability to lead and inspire teams effectively within a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills: The ability to convey complex ideas clearly and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Project management skills: The ability to think strategically and manage competing priorities.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,700 to $247,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,500 to $281,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
