Full Job Description
The Role

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Team Lead to run EPD (Engineering, Product, Design) recruiting at MaintainX. You'll manage a team of Talent Partners and Coordinators, carry a personal req load of senior and leadership-level searches, and own the operating cadence for the EPD recruiting function.

This is a building role. You'll build the structure this team needs to scale: coverage models, pipeline review cadences, capacity planning, and consistent interview processes across three distinct functions. You'll report directly to the VP of Talent and partner closely with the CTO, VP Engineering, and Product/Design leadership.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop the EPD Talent team. Manage a team of Talent Partners and Coordinators across Montreal, Toronto, and San Francisco. Run weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and calibration sessions. Set clear performance expectations and hold the team to them.
  • Own EPD recruiting outcomes. You're accountable for the full hiring plan across Engineering, Product, and Design. That means time-to-fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance rates, and quality of hire. You'll present these numbers to the VP of Talent and EPD leadership weekly.
  • Carry a personal req load of senior and leadership hires. Staff+ engineers, engineering managers, senior PMs, and design leads. You stay close to the work and model the standard for the team.
  • Build the operating system for EPD recruiting. Define coverage models (who owns what reqs), capacity planning (how many reqs per TP), stage SLAs (48-hour candidate movement, 24-hour feedback submission), and debrief standards. Standardize what's inconsistent. Document what's tribal knowledge.
  • Partner with EPD leadership on hiring strategy. Run calibrated intakes with engineering managers and product leaders. Own the quarterly headcount planning process alongside the VP of Talent and Finance. Advise on role scoping, leveling, and market positioning.
  • Drive sourcing strategy and channel optimization. Manage the team's sourcing output across LinkedIn Recruiter, direct outreach, referrals, events, and agency partnerships. Track cost-per-hire and source-of-hire data.
  • Implement and optimize the ATS. We're migrating to Ashby. You'll own the EPD configuration: job setup, interview plans, scorecard design, stage automation, and reporting dashboards. This is a hands-on-keyboard expectation, not a "tell the ops team" role.
  • Integrate assessment tooling. Own the CodeSignal integration for engineering assessments. Ensure technical screens are calibrated, completion rates are tracked, and results feed into hiring decisions consistently.
What You Bring
  • 8+ years in technical recruiting, with at least 2 years managing a team of recruiters focused on engineering and/or product hiring
  • Experience at high-growth SaaS companies ($100M+ ARR or Series C+) where you've scaled a recruiting function through a period of rapid hiring
  • Hands-on experience building recruiting infrastructure: coverage models, capacity plans, SLA frameworks, scorecard design, debrief processes
  • Strong ATS experience (Ashby preferred, Greenhouse/Lever acceptable). You should be comfortable configuring jobs, building reports, and designing workflows, not just using the tool
  • Proven ability to recruit senior technical talent personally. You can run a Staff Engineer or VP Product search yourself when needed.
  • Data-driven operating style. You present pipeline reviews with numbers, not narratives. You track pass-through rates, conversion by stage, and sourcing yield.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple geographies (US and Canada preferred)
What's In It For You
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity opportunities.
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) / RRSP enrollment program.
  • Take what you need PTO.
  • A work culture where:
    • You'll work alongside folks across the globe that reflect the MaintainX values: Smart Humble Optimist.
    • We believe in meritocracy, where ideas and effort are publicly celebrated.
