Position Summary

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is excited to lead full-cycle recruitment across our organization and play a pivotal role in attracting, assessing, and securing top talent. You'll be instrumental in shaping Crown's talent strategy, creating an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers, and elevating our employer brand in the market.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Selection

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for a variety of roles, from intake and sourcing through to offer and hire.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, workforce needs, and team dynamics, and translate these into effective recruitment strategies.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using multiple channels (job boards, social media, referrals, networks, agencies, etc.) to proactively build and maintain strong talent pipelines.
  • Manage internal and external job postings and ensure job descriptions are current, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
  • Guide and support hiring managers and interview panels on interviewing techniques, selection criteria, and fair evaluation of candidates.
  • Oversee pre-employment checks, including references, background, and credit checks, ensuring timely and compliant completion.
  • Prepare and present competitive offer packages and support negotiation, ensuring internal equity and market alignment.
  • Champion a positive, professional, and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment life cycle.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with candidates, including timely updates, feedback where appropriate, and professional closure for unsuccessful candidates.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date candidate and requisition data in the HRIS.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of HR modules related to recruitment and onboarding
  • Travel to Crown offices, buildings, and work sites as needed for recruitment-related activities and business needs.


Onboarding & Talent Integration

  • Coordinate the transition from candidate to new hire, ensuring a smooth and positive onboarding experience.
  • Support new hire orientation activities and materials to help employees integrate into the organization quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to continuously improve onboarding processes and new hire engagement


Market Insights, Data & Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on recruitment KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate pipeline health, turnover in first year) using dashboards and HRIS/ATS reporting tools.
  • Identify trends and bottlenecks in the recruitment process and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and quality of hires.
  • Conduct ongoing market research, including salary benchmarks, talent availability, and competitor practices, to inform recruitment strategy and compensation discussions.
  • Provide quarterly recruitment and vacancy reports, as well as insights and recommendations
  • Ensure all recruitment and selection activities comply with company policies, employment legislation, and industry best practices.


Employer Branding & External Representation

  • Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Marketing, Communications, Operations) to develop and maintain recruitment and employer branding content (e.g., career site, social media posts, recruitment campaigns, job fair materials).
  • Act as an ambassador for Crown's culture and values in all external interactions with candidates, schools, partners, and community organizations.
  • Represent Crown at career fairs, on-campus events, and industry networking functions to enhance employer brand visibility and attract a diverse talent pool.
  • Develop, coordinate, and enhance Crown's internship, co-op, and summer/fall student programs to build a strong early talent pipeline.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and relevant professional associations.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify student and entry-level opportunities and ensure programs align with organizational needs and growth plans.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management, required
  • CHRP designation, or currently pursuing, considered an asset
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or a related industry strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation and recruitment best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Base salary: $80,000- $90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
