The RoleYou'll be Venn's sole recruiter. No coordinator, no sourcing team, no hand-holding. You own full-cycle recruiting end-to-end. From drafting JD to offer stage for with a heavy focus on technical roles.
We're a team of 30 and plan to double headcount this year. You'll carry 6 active reqs at a time, working a mix of inbound and outbound pipelines. You'll partner directly with founders and hiring managers to define roles and set the bar.
What You'll Be Doing- Own sourcing, screening, scheduling, and closing for all open roles
- Source and close world-class technical talent
- Build and manage both inbound pipelines (job posts, employer brand) and outbound sourcing (direct outreach, boolean, AI tools)
- Define role requirements directly with hiring managers and founders
- Keep hiring moving without being chased
- Handle light office management and support new hire onboarding logistics (low time commitment, ~1 hour/week)
What You'll Need- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience: agency, in-house, or both
- Experience operating independently with minimal oversight, ideally as a sole recruiter or in a small team
- Proven track record hiring software engineers across different stacks - you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to know enough to source and screen credibly
- Comfortable carrying 6+ reqs simultaneously without dropping pace or quality
- AI-native: you use tools to source smarter and move faster, not just as a checkbox
- Strong communication and organization skills, you keep hiring moving without being chased
Nice To Have- Experience sourcing for fintech, SaaS, or high growth companies
