Position Summary

The Supply Chain Master Planner will serve as the functional leader of Supply Chain Planning, owning forecasting, material planning, inventory management, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). This individual will partner closely with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Product Management, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment between demand, supply, inventory, and production execution.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with leadership skills, operational discipline, and the ability to drive decisions across the organization.
What You'll Do
Forecasting & Demand Planning
  • Own the demand forecasting process, accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain structured forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and documentation
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to create a unified demand plan
  • Monitor forecast accuracy metrics and drive corrective actions
  • Translate forecasts into actionable supply plans and communicate risks proactively
Supply Planning & ERP/MRP Ownership
  • Lead end-to-end supply planning and MRP governance
  • Maintain planning parameters, data integrity, and system accuracy within ERP platforms
  • Provide executive-ready visibility into supply constraints, lead times, ATP, and operational risks
  • Improve planning discipline and reduce manual workarounds through system optimization
  • Drive planning decisions that balance inventory, service levels, and cost
Inventory Management & S&OP
  • Own the S&OP process, including demand/supply balancing and scenario planning
  • Partner with Finance on excess and obsolete inventory management and reserve analysis
  • Drive inventory optimization strategies focused on service, working capital, and inventory turns
  • Support product lifecycle planning, including NPI launches and EOL transitions
  • Maintain high levels of BOM and part master data accuracy
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the primary planning interface across Operations, Procurement, Finance, Product, and Commercial teams
  • Support production planning alignment with operational capacity and execution realities
  • Act as a subject matter expert for planning systems and processes
  • Lead cross-functional decision-making through clear communication of tradeoffs and recommendations
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory performance, and plan adherence
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools that drive accountability and operational visibility
  • Identify and implement process improvements across forecasting, planning, and inventory management
  • Support ISO-aligned documentation, process standardization, and audit readiness
  • Drive improvements in outsourced manufacturing planning and systems integration


Requirements

Qualifications
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, or related functions
  • Proven experience owning demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and S&OP processes
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience supporting hardware and software/subscription business models is a plus
Technical Skills
  • Strong ERP and MRP systems experience
  • Advanced analytical and forecasting capabilities
  • Strong Excel and reporting/dashboard skills
  • Experience with planning analytics and scenario modeling
  • Familiarity with PLM systems such as Arena preferred
Leadership & Business Skills
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions balancing service, cost, and inventory
  • Experience driving operational process improvements and scalable system.
