Full Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with a strong technical background to support our electromechanical components and assemblies. In this critical role, you'll work directly with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and drive continuous improvement. You'll make an impact by: • Lead and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), ensuring containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and timely closure. • Drive supplier performance improvement through data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives. • Monitor and report supplier KPIs, including Incident Rate, on-time delivery of PPAPs, and responsiveness to SCARs. • Support qualification and inspection of mechanical components included but not limited to castings, plastic injection, fabricated parts, and hardware. • Ensure suppliers comply with internal specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. • Partner with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless supplier integration. • Support design reviews and influence engineering decisions from a manufacturability and risk standpoint. • Validate supplier processes through remote audits and process capability assessments. You will win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • 2 plus years' experience working as a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality in a Manufacturing environment. • Strong understanding of SCAR management, root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D), and PFMEA. • Experience with statistical analysis and quality management tools. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to manufacturing. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Skills: • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5). • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) • Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification. • Knowledge of the IMS standard (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and Internal auditor certification • SAP experience. • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly processes, including crimping, soldering, and wiring harness construction • UL 891 Familiarity You'll Benefit From Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
