Full Job Description
MongoDB is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to grow our Strategic Finance team. You will be responsible for the financial and analytical aspects of key business decisions, go-to-market strategies, resource allocation, partnership, and investment decisions. The Strategic Finance Analyst is expected to make significant contributions to the success of MongoDB by enabling executives and team leaders to make better decisions and will work closely with them to evaluate, plan, execute, and measure strategic business initiatives.

This position requires an adaptable self-starter who is able to work comfortably and communicate clearly with stakeholders across the organization, progress tasks from start to finish, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This will be primarily an in-office role, and we are looking for candidates who plan to be available in our New York City office for approximately three to four days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Own company key revenue forecast models for new and existing products
  • Help drive the annual planning process; prepare monthly and quarterly board and executive reporting
  • Support the investor relations function and corporate development initiatives, including any potential M&A
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to inform teams on operating strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships with Leadership across the company to review investment opportunities, growth levers, and align on resourcing models
  • Lead, collaborate, and contribute to business case development of new strategic initiatives
  • Provide strategic advice and direction to facilitate fast decision-making
Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years experience in investment banking, management consulting, or an analytical role at a data-driven technology company
  • Superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Confidence to forge strong relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization
  • Drive for results and a sense of urgency with the capacity to multitask and prioritize
  • Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail

  • Candidates must possess substantial experience with financial modeling and proficiency in Excel

MongoDB's base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings.
