Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an
onsite Storage Engineer to join a
government consulting firm supporting a mission-critical federal program based in
Fort Belvoir, VA. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a highly secure enterprise environment where data availability, infrastructure reliability, and operational continuity are critical to mission success.
Responsibilities of the Storage Engineer Includes: - Manage enterprise data storage infrastructure to ensure system reliability, scalability, and optimal performance
- Partner with infrastructure and security teams to support data protection initiatives and storage architecture improvements
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure issues impacting storage availability, recovery operations, or application performance
- Support lifecycle management activities, including platform enhancements, capacity planning, upgrades, and maintenance efforts
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations through automation and proactive monitoring practices
Qualifications of the Storage Engineer Includes: - 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level storage environments and technologies, such as SAN and/or NAS platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with replication, snapshots, storage performance tuning, RAID configuration, storage provisioning, LUN/volume management
- Experience supporting Linux and/or Windows servers with attached storage
- Working knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery technologies and concepts
- Ability to proactively monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot performance concerns, and implement corrective actions across storage and server platforms
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and hold an active U.S. Government TS/SCI Clearance
Compensation of the Storage Engineer includes: - Salary range: $130,000 - 140,000 (based on experience)
