POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Behind our ability to deliver are the systems that keep information moving, applications connected, and teams working together. Our integration team supports that foundation through enterprise messaging, integration development, and the infrastructure that makes reliable data exchange possible.

We're seeking an experienced IBM MQ / ACE Middleware Engineer to help sustain and strengthen this environment. You'll work alongside developers and infrastructure partners to solve operational challenges, improve reliability, and prepare our integration platforms for evolving business needs. Your work will directly contribute to keeping the systems our teams depend on available, secure, and ready to support the mission.

  • Build and maintain IBM MQ environments, including queue managers, queues, channels, and connectivity between applications.
  • Support IBM ACE environments, including integration nodes, integration servers, and associated runtime configurations.
  • Strengthen observability through monitoring and alerting, identifying issues before they disrupt operations.
  • Troubleshoot messaging, integration, and connectivity problems in collaboration with application and infrastructure teams.
  • Manage certificates and secure messaging connections, including renewals and issue resolution.
  • Plan and execute IBM MQ and ACE upgrades, and coordinate supporting server upgrades and maintenance.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and recovery procedures to improve operational readiness.
  • Contribute to scheduled maintenance windows and participate in weekend and on-call support within the approved work schedule.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and identify opportunities to simplify administration, automate recurring work, and improve supportability.
  • Provide occasional ACE development and deployment support using your knowledge of integration architecture and design.

You're someone who enjoys understanding how systems connect and takes ownership of keeping them running well. You can work independently through a complex technical issue, recognize when to bring others into the conversation, and explain what's happening clearly. You value both resolving today's problem and making tomorrow's environment more reliable.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Accredited High School/GED.

WORK HOURS

Full-Time; 4/10.
