Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

HR Technology Strategy, Architecture and Governance

  • Establish HR technology standards, governance processes, and solution architecture for Workday, UKG Dimensions, Dayforce, and related applications.
  • Evaluate future-state technology and integration strategies aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Review and recommend solutions to ensure compliance with security, governance, and organizational requirements.
  • Partner with HR and IT leadership to assess, prioritize, and support strategic HR technology initiatives and investments.

HRIS Administration and Support:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain HR technology platforms, including business processes, workflows, security roles, reporting, and system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, integration, and data-related issues while meeting established service expectations.
  • Perform testing, release validation, and deployment support for system enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and support procedures.

AI, Automation, and Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate emerging AI, automation, & digital technologies and provide recommendations for HR adoption.
  • Lead implementation of automation and AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency, employee experience, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve data quality through automation and analytics.
  • Promote best practices that support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.

HR Data, Reporting, and Analytics

  • Develop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and analytics solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance across HR systems and reporting platforms.
  • Conduct audits, validation activities, and data quality reviews to support reliable workforce reporting and analytics.
  • Partner with HR leaders and business stakeholders to provide actionable insights and recommendations based on workforce data.

Systems Integration and Technical Development

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support integrations between HR systems and internal or external applications.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and development teams to implement secure and reliable solutions.
  • Support APIs, middleware technologies, file transfers, and related data exchange capabilities.
  • Monitor integration performance and proactively resolve issues while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards.

Project Delivery and Stakeholder Partnership

  • Lead and support HR technology projects, system enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding HR system capabilities, architecture, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with vendors, business stakeholders, and project teams to design and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support change management, communication, and user adoption activities related to technology initiatives.

Training and Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain user guides, technical documentation, and process materials.
  • Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer for HR technology solutions.
  • Serve as a mentor and technical resource for HRIS team members and stakeholders.
  • Foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the HRIS function.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Systems, or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting, administering, configuring, or implementing HRIS, enterprise applications, or business systems.
  • Deep expertise in Workday architecture, configuration, integrations, reporting, and security.
  • Experience supporting HR functional areas such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Learning, Payroll, and Time & Attendance.
  • Experience configuring business processes, security models, integrations, reporting, and data management within enterprise HR platforms.
  • Experience leading HR technology implementations, upgrades, releases, and enhancement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leveraging automation, workflow technologies, AI capabilities, or process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working with vendor-supported solutions and managed service providers.

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Workday certifications or comparable HR technology certifications.
  • Experience with AI technologies, automation, machine learning applications, or generative AI solutions.
  • Experience supporting global HR organizations and multi-country operations.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, data governance, reporting, and security practices.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
