Memory Controller Performance Architect

About the role

Arm is looking for an experienced IP and system performance modeling and analysis architect for SoC systems built using Arm IPs. You will collaborate with a brilliant team of performance engineers in driving development of new high-performance interconnect and memory controller IPs, optimizing AI in infrastructure, auto, and mobile systems, and productizing models for partner usage.

What will you be accountable for?
  • Memory Controller IP and system model development and analysis: Optimize memory controller IP power and performance features using insights from system level analysis and bottlenecks with key workloads and KPIs. Develop Power and performance methodologies for enabling new workloads and usages with simulation and emulation. Work with various business units to provide models, analysis and guidance on designing optimized systems. Conduct system level analysis for finding bottlenecks and improving IP micro-architecture. Engage with partners in establishing high confidence in Arm IP and systems based on Arm technology. Mentoring team members.

What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?
  • Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a strong computer architecture, microarchitecture, performance experience
  • Proven experience in memory/interconnect performance modeling, workload analysis and methodologies, system performance, and providing effective solutions and guidance.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming for large-scale software development and proficient with Perl or Python scripting language skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong initiative and open in engaging and learning new concepts and sharing with collaborators.

Desired requirements?
  • Knowledge of SystemC Transaction Level Modeling and interconnect micro-architecture design, experience with Model correlation methodologies with RTL
  • Experience with performance tools-their deployment, performance extrapolation methodologies for large systems, guiding and mentoring team members.

Salary Range:

$198,100-$268,000 per year
