Full Job Description
About the team and the role:

eBay's Advertising team builds innovative solutions that help advertisers grow their businesses while improving experiences for buyers and sellers across our marketplace. As eBay continues investing in the next generation of AI-assisted and agentic advertising experiences, this team is shaping more guided, conversational, and automated ways for advertisers to plan, launch, and optimize campaigns at scale.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Ads, you will lead complex, high-impact programs across advertiser-facing experiences and the underlying technology stack that powers them. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX/Design, and research teams to translate strategy into execution, drive roadmap clarity, and deliver intelligent campaign experiences that influence adoption, performance, and advertising revenue. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, brings strong systems thinking, and enjoys connecting user needs with technical delivery across multiple domains.

What you will accomplish:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Ads programs focused on AI-assisted and agentic campaign experiences, from concept and planning through launch, iteration, and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate product vision into clear scopes, roadmaps, milestones, and execution plans that connect advertiser-facing experiences with services, data, machine learning, and platform capabilities.
  • Shape seamless end-to-end advertiser journeys-including onboarding, campaign creation, optimization, insights, and guidance-in close partnership with Product, UX/Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Partner with engineering teams to deliver intelligent solutions powered by machine learning, automation, and predictive insights that improve advertiser performance and support core Ads revenue outcomes.
  • Define and operationalize program success metrics such as adoption, penetration, and revenue impact, while running strong execution rhythms that keep teams aligned, informed, and accountable.
  • Identify and manage cross-functional risks and dependencies across user experience, ML models, data pipelines, services, and partner engineering teams, putting mitigation plans in place early to enable reliable delivery and continuous improvement.

What you will bring:
  • 8-10 years of technical program management experience, including at least 5 years in ads or ad-tech supporting user-facing products, platforms, or campaign management tools.
  • Proven success delivering end-to-end advertiser experiences and platform capabilities in close partnership with Product, UX/Design, user research, and Engineering teams.
  • Strong program management skills, including roadmap planning, prioritization, dependency management, risk mitigation, and structured execution across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Technical fluency across full-stack environments-including front-end applications, backend services, machine learning systems, and platform components-with the ability to lead technical discussions and connect decisions to user and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with experience aligning diverse stakeholders and clearly communicating trade-offs, status, and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • A strong ownership mindset and systems-thinking approach, with bonus consideration for experience shipping AI-assisted, conversational, or recommendation-based user experiences and using AI tools to improve program execution, visibility, or operational efficiency.
