About the team and the roleGlobal Platform builds the shared services, tools, and engineering foundations that help eBay teams deliver product changes faster, improve reliability, and reduce operational risk.
As a Technical Product Manager, you'll serve as Global Platform's primary product partner for one of eBay's company priorities. You'll work with product, engineering, architecture, and VP-level leaders. Together, you'll identify the results teams need, connect them with the right platform services, and address gaps that block progress.
You'll turn business and technical needs into a shared roadmap, coordinate commitments across teams, and measure progress through adoption, migrations, service health, operational efficiency, and customer impact. This role is a good fit for someone who makes complex systems understandable and helps teams move from ambiguity to action.
Come help us make eBay's shared platform services easier to adopt and more useful across the company!

- Identify adoption barriers and capability gaps, then turn them into clear product opportunities and investment recommendations.
- Set priorities and maintain a shared roadmap for platform adoption, migrations, new capabilities, and cross-team commitments.
- Evaluate technical options with engineering and architecture, including scalability, reliability, security, and operational impact.
- Define ownership, sequencing, milestones, decisions, and success measures. Surface risks early and present practical options.
- Track and communicate progress using adoption, usage, migration, service health, operational, and customer measures. Bring recurring team needs into Global Platform planning.
- Identify, evaluate, and scale responsible AI-enabled capabilities that accelerate product delivery, improve customer engagement, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
What you will bring- Product management experience with platforms, infrastructure, developer tools, enterprise software, or other complex technical products.
- Technical knowledge that supports productive discussions about system design, interfaces, dependencies, scalability, reliability, security, and operations.
- Experience turning ambiguous business and engineering needs into priorities, roadmaps, and measurable results.
- Experience leading initiatives that span multiple teams and technical dependencies.
- Clear written and verbal communication, good judgment about priorities and tradeoffs, and experience helping technical and executive leaders reach decisions.
You're comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and staying accountable for results.
