The Opportunity

The role of Senior Quality Assurance Developer is to effectively analyze requirements, create, execute comprehensive test cases in a timely and accurate manner, for simple to complex functionalities in one or more concurrent projects on Trading Grid. The primary function is to identify and execute the performance tests to identify issues and root causes of defects in supported applications. OpenText is looking for this expert to help us design and implement platform-wide performance improvements because of your analysis and experience in performance engineering. By working closely with others in Product, Sales and Delivery teams this expert will be able to showcase performance improvements across the Trading Grid platform.

You Are Great At

  • Analyze, understand, and define test scope and estimates based on requirements, technical design documents and Customer Acceptance test results
  • Create test strategies, update, and execute comprehensive test cases, record test progress and results.
  • Expert in Automation testing and Strong experience in Performance testing.
  • Communicate test results to project stakeholders.
  • Identify and record issues using a defect management tool.
  • Perform necessary tests to validate fixes (e.g., defect verification)
  • Work with the development team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing phase.
  • Discuss with development team the technical aspects of implementation and resolutions for issues.
  • Create QA Exit Report (or similar documents)
  • Guide people to understand the technical aspects of the test execution.
  • Inform the project/team lead of any risks or issues that may affect the schedule, and quality of the application.
  • Understand and adhere to QA processes.
  • Perform non-functional tests such as automation, security testing and performance tests as needed.
  • Recommend and implement suggestions or process improvements.
  • Provide production support as needed.
  • Helping to create and execute Customer Acceptance Test Plans.
  • Create and review test design/exit documents for Solutions Management/Production Support handoffs.
  • Create tools and processes for optimizations and reduce time to market when needed.


What It Takes:

  • You are a graduate of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 7 and above years of relevant experience.
  • You should have extensive knowledge & exposure of the following:
  • Expert in Automation testing (preferably Selenium)
  • Strong experience in Performance testing (preferably jmeter)
  • Requirement Analysis.
    • Software Development Life Cycle (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
    • Any programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, etc.)
    • Able to write tools for optimizing processes.
    • MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); tools such as SQL, JIRA, etc.
  • Be coachable and receive mentoring from experienced team members and demonstrate open-mindedness on new perspectives.
  • Makes decisions that consider and impact the scheduling, planning and successful completion of project / function deliverables, guided by professional/technical expertise, known practices and established precedents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exposure to EDI.

Salary Range: $81,600.00 - $122,400.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
