Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of server/workstation system products for cloud and data center infrastructure. This is a key product management role focused on server/storage product solutions where communication among remote teams and on-site product leadership for our development teams is critical to develop and enable operations to fulfill roadmap expectation. In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems, product manager is expected to collaborate with marketing and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. As a product manager, you will use strong technical and communication skills towards product definition strategy for Supermicro's core product family including research into vertical-based customer solutions and creation of aggressive go-to market plan. Ultimately, Product Manager will become a core member of the server product management team and engage in technical, product development, marketing, and pre/post-sales support activities.

1. Product Strategy & Lifecycle Ownership
  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle management for Client Systems / AI PC / Workstation portfolio, including product launch, refresh planning, and EOL strategy
  • Define product positioning and segmentation across Enterprise, Commercial, Consumer, and AI PC segments
  • Develop and maintain product roadmap aligned with AI PC trends, cost dynamics, and market demand shifts

2. Market-Driven Product Definition
  • Translate market trends (AI PC adoption, cost pressure, regional demand) into clear product requirements and portfolio strategy
  • Drive competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and feature differentiation
  • Ensure product-market fit by aligning customer needs, business objectives, and engineering feasibility

3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, and Sales to influence product direction and ensure execution alignment
  • Drive decision-making across global teams (US HQ, Taiwan, EMEA) to enable timely product delivery and launch readiness
  • Act as a bridge between business and engineering, ensuring strategy is translated into executable plans

4. Product Marketing & Promotion
  • Lead product marketing strategy, messaging, and value proposition development
  • Develop and deliver customer-facing materials, including product presentations, positioning decks, and training content
  • Support regional go-to-market execution, including customer engagement, demos, and promotional activities

5. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage directly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to:
    • Communicate product vision and roadmap
    • Gather feedback and market intelligence
    • Drive design wins and business opportunities
  • Influence stakeholders at multiple levels, including executives, engineering teams, and sales organizations

6. Business Execution & Performance Management
  • Support business growth through portfolio planning, cost optimization, and lifecycle management
  • Identify risks and proactively escalate issues to ensure on-time execution and business continuity
  • Enable scaling of Client System business through structured processes, tools, and execution discipline


Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in PC / computer hardware product management, product marketing, or business strategy roles
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end product lifecycle in PC, Client System, or related industries

Technical & Business Expertise
  • Strong understanding of PC architecture, platform roadmap (Intel/AMD), and system-level design
  • Solid business acumen with experience in:
    • Product positioning and segmentation
    • Cost structure and pricing strategy
    • Market and competitive analysis
  • Experience in AI PC or emerging technology segments is a strong plus

Leadership & Execution Capability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Proven track record of driving product strategy into execution across global teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively under ambiguity and fast-changing market conditions

Communication & Influence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence:
    • Senior leadership
    • Engineering teams
    • Customers and partners
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts into business value propositions

Salary Range

$160,000 - $190,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
