Full Job Description
Client: Our Client

Position: Sr, Technical Product Manager

Job Summary: Our Client is hiring a Technical Product Manager to own one or more products end-to-end across its growing portfolio - strategy, roadmap, technical requirements, and execution - in close partnership with engineering and developer customers. This is a senior individual contributor seat with real surface area, reporting to the founder and CEO and joining a small, technical product team operating at the center of a fast-moving company.

About the Role: This is a hands-on Technical PM role with broad ownership. You'll own one or more products end-to-end - setting strategy, writing specs, partnering tightly with engineering, and shipping. You'll work directly with developer customers and partner with Sales and CS to translate field signal into clear, technically-sound product requirements.

The product team has historically operated with broad shared ownership ("everyone does everything"). This hire is part of a deliberate move toward clearer product ownership lines - you'll be the third PM on the team, joining a Director of Product and a Product Manager, and reporting directly to the founder/CEO. The right person operates at two zoom levels: strategic enough to set direction across the portfolio, tactical enough to write the spec and ship the right implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the product strategy for one or more products within a growing portfolio
  • Own the roadmap end-to-end - customer discovery and research through spec, build, launch, and iteration
  • Lead a small team of engineers in evaluating and defining technical requirements for new and existing products
  • Build prototypes using modern AI tooling - rapid, high-quality builds that move customer and engineering conversations forward
  • Translate input from Sales, CS, and direct customer conversations into clear, technically-sound specs
  • Make calls on tradeoffs and prioritization against business objectives, customer impact, feasibility, and risk
  • Measure post-launch impact and iterate based on customer feedback and usage data
  • Continuously refine the product to improve scalability, performance, and developer experience
  • Represent the company credibly in the developer community - customer conversations, partner meetings, and public-facing forums when needed

Qualifications:

Must-have
  • 5+ years total experience spanning engineering and product management
  • 3+ years as a Technical Product Manager with demonstrated, process-driven results scaling integrations, defining technical requirements, and leading cross-functional execution
  • 2+ years of engineering experience - ideally with APIs, integrations, or developer-facing products
  • Deep familiarity with APIs and SDKs; webhooks, auth (OAuth, API keys), versioning, error semantics, and DX tradeoffs are second nature
  • Has personally shipped an API or developer-facing product (hard requirement, not a nice-to-have)
  • Comfort navigating complex architecture and reasoning about engineering tradeoffs when making product decisions
  • Track record of leading complex, large-scale product launches end-to-end - specs through execution through iteration
  • Founder-like ownership and strong bias for action; finds solutions in low-structure environments
  • Excellent communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have
  • Background in developer tools, API platforms, or integration products specifically
  • Experience building applications with SaaS integrations and a feel for B2B customer needs
  • Demonstrated use of AI coding tools to ship prototypes and accelerate development cycles
  • Time at a Stripe-tier developer platform or a comparable fintech / dev-infra company

Additional Information: This role is based in San Francisco or Los Angeles with an in-person preference; hybrid/onsite cadence to be confirmed. Time zone is PT-aligned. Light travel expected for customer conversations, conferences, and team offsites. The role flexes upward to Staff or Principal for candidates bringing exceptional depth, strategic leverage, or category authority, and is also open to earlier-career candidates with strong engineering chops and clear high-growth signal - the "builder PM" archetype.
