POSITION SUMMARYThe Sr Manager Transaction Management is responsible for the management, performance, and oversite of a team of Transaction Managers. The number of individuals on a given team is dependent on the structure of work being performed by the team. In general, the number of direct reports ranges from 2-6 individuals. The Sr Manager Transaction Management is responsible for team performance and ensuring all associates are hitting required SLAs and Quality Control Metrics. This encompasses the timeline for the review of agreements, the accuracy of the review, and ensuring a complete understanding and digesting of contractual obligations into operational workflow.
Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring active communication to business units of any material changes to agreements or structures that may have downstream impacts both from an operational standpoint and a financial standpoint. Their team may also be responsible for the ongoing management of the performance of Securitizations, contractual disputes, and remediations of advances or servicing fees. Their team is also the single point of contact to Master Servicers externally and internally for general deal level escalation/management. They are responsible for the design and implementation of training related to contractual obligations, agreement reviews, and the understanding of transaction documents for their team along with adherence to the requirements and requests of operational partners. This position requires strong management skills along with an emphasis in deal management and a comprehensive knowledge of financial structures and contract review along with a deliberate ability to think analytically.
DESCRIPTIONDuties and Responsibilities- Performance and Quality Management of Transaction Managers.
- Established Workflow creation and monitoring for ongoing deals and oversight.
- Ongoing Training and Education of Financial Deal Structures, Contract Review, and Operational Requirements.
- Management of Contract disputes and financial remediations.
- Evaluate loan due diligence results, assess validity of stipulations, make loan disposition decisions, escalate as appropriate with internal stakeholders, resolve.
- Support and review various investor guidelines for competitive analysis and salability.
- Build and maintain relationships with sellers, investors, and vendors.
- Provide reporting and analytics on trades, due diligence, and counterparties.
- Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements- Bachelor's degree, in business, marketing, communications or other relevant field.
- 6-8 years of mortgage industry experience.
- Prior Management Experience.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge- Ability to handle a large degree of internal and external diplomacy as well as understanding of perspective from various stakeholders.
- Ability to listen effectively and communicate ideas concisely.
- Knowledge of mortgage banking, secondary markets, whole loan transactions and securitizations, GSE and private investor guidelines.
- Ability to engage individuals and groups to surface essential requirements information.
- Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among appropriate stakeholders.
- Ability to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile differing views, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
