Sr IT Security Analyst - AI Security Engineering

Your role at Dynatrace

Dynatrace is seeking an IT Security Analyst with a focus on AI Security Engineering to help secure the adoption, integration, and operation of AI/ML capabilities across enterprise and business systems.
This role will focus on identifying and mitigating risks associated with AI-enabled applications, automation platforms, and data-driven systems, ensuring that AI use cases align with enterprise security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate combines application security and enterprise IT security experience with an understanding of how AI systems interact with existing platforms, APIs, and sensitive business data.

Key Responsibilities

AI Security & Risk Management
  • Evaluate security risks associated with AI/ML-enabled tools, copilots, automation platforms, and embedded AI features
  • Identify threats such as:
    • Data leakage (training data, prompts, outputs)
    • Prompt injection and misuse scenarios
    • Unauthorized access to AI-integrated systems
    • Model abuse, overreach, or unintended data exposure
  • Define and implement security guardrails for AI usage within enterprise environments

AI Application & Platform Security
  • Perform security reviews for AI-enabled enterprise systems, including:
    • SaaS platforms introducing AI features (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite extensions)
    • Internal AI use cases leveraging enterprise data
  • Assess how AI capabilities interact with:
    • Identity and access management controls
    • Data classification and protection standards
    • Existing application security controls

Integration & Data Protection
  • Analyze AI-related data flows across enterprise systems and integration platforms (e.g., APIs, iPaaS, custom middleware)
  • Ensure secure handling of:
    • Sensitive financial and HR data
    • Regulated or customer data entering AI workflows
  • Recommend controls for data minimization, masking, and secure data transmission

Security Controls & Governance
  • Design and recommend security controls for AI systems, including:
    • Access controls and identity enforcement
    • Logging, monitoring, and traceability of AI interactions
    • Model access restrictions and usage boundaries
  • Identify and document combination risks across interconnected systems (AI + SaaS + integrations)

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
  • Ensure AI implementations align with enterprise and regulatory requirements:
    • SOX (data integrity and access controls)
    • FedRAMP (if applicable for systems in scope)
    • ISO 27001 and SOC 2 frameworks
  • Support development of AI governance standards and security review processes
  • Partner with audit and compliance teams to validate AI-related controls

Cloud & AI Infrastructure Security (Bonus Area)
  • Contribute to securing AI workloads and integrations within AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Evaluate risks related to:
    • Cloud-hosted AI services
    • Identity (IAM roles, service accounts)
    • Data storage and model interaction points


This is a remote eligible position. Candidates who live within a 45 mile radius of Boston, MA; Detroit, MI; and Denver, CO will be required to work hybrid (2 days per week) out of our Dyntrace office. Candidates are required to work EST hours for this position.

What will help you succeed

Minimum Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in IT security, application security, or enterprise systems security

Preferred Requirements
  • Experience assessing or securing:
    • Enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce, ServiceNow)
    • API-driven or integrated systems• Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and associated security risks
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Identity and access management (IAM)
    • Data protection and classification principles
    • Application security and secure integrations
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks:
    • Familiarity with FedRAMP, ISO 27001, SOC 2
  • AI/ML platforms, copilots, or LLM-integrated systems
  • Securing AI use cases or reviewing AI vendor capabilities
  • Knowledge of:
    • Prompt injection risks and AI abuse vectors
    • Data governance for AI systems
  • Experience with AWS security controls and cloud-native architectures
  • Familiarity with enterprise identity providers (e.g., Okta, Azure AD)

Compensation and Rewards

DOE, salary $120K - $150K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
