About the Job: Our client is looking for an HR Manager eager to build our infrastructure and company culture from the ground up. If you are attracted to an opportunity to build something from scratch and be proud of your creation, this could be that opportunity. You will have a chance to build, grow and lead all aspects of our HR function.Reporting to the COO, the HR Manager will be lead recruiting, compensation, payroll, organizational structure, and policies. The Human Resource Manager must be a natural communicator with the leadership skills necessary to create a workplace that attracts top talent. They are empathetic and play a key role in fostering a supportive culture of high performance and great collaboration. You will oversee the Human Resources function for the company.

Responsibilities:
Develop strategies for recruiting, onboarding, retaining, and developing top talent.
Research, review, and revise compensation packages.
Create and manage employee policies.
Advises managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommends needed changes
Handles pre-employment background checks, new hire paperwork, onboarding processes and new employee orientations
Assist in termination process (setting up exit interviews, processing termination paperwork and off boarding routine activities
Supervises human resources team including payroll
Serves as a point of contact for the following: employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, affirmative action, training, recruitment, and safety

Minimum Job Qualifications
8-10 years of HR experience, including ideally in a startup environment.
Knowledge of compliance standards and employment law, employee Benefit Administration, HRIS and Payroll.
Experience scaling a startup team.
Experience with M&A and acquihires.
Strong entrepreneurial mindset and independent, but collaborative work style.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, time-management, project-management, and creative skills-with an ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in word and excel
Experience with Justworks
