About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data architecture for a hospital and
healthcare ecosystem. This role is critical in driving enterprise data strategy, enabling clinical and operational insights, and ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategy aligned with business and clinical goals
• Design and manage data models, data lakes, and data warehouses using Microsoft technologies
• Lead architecture for EHR/EMR, patient data, claims, and clinical systems integration
• Build scalable solutions using Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks)
• Ensure data governance, data quality, security, and compliance (HIPAA standards)
• Collaborate with stakeholders, clinicians, and IT teams to enable data-driven decision-making
• Establish best practices for data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and real-time processing
• Drive modernization from legacy systems to cloud-based architectures
• Mentor engineering teams and provide architectural leadership
Required Skills & Experience
• 12+ years of experience in data/enterprise architecture
• Strong expertise in Microsoft stack: Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, Azure Synapse, ADF
• Proven experience designing enterprise data platforms and large-scale solutions
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, warehousing, and big data technologies
• Experience in healthcare/hospital systems (EHR/EMR required)
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and HIPAA compliance
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with cloud architecture and migration strategies
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Azure certifications (Data Architect / Solutions Architect)
• Experience with HL7, FHIR interoperability standards
• Exposure to AI/ML in healthcare analytics
