What you'll be doing

As a member of the Savings, Investing and Advice team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our registered plan business. As the Senior Director, Registered Plans, you'll lead the design and execution of strategies to grow our registered plan portfolio, increase plan penetration, and drive higher balances and market share. You'll work closely with teams across CIBC to improve advisory capabilities, boost financial literacy, and ensure compliance with all regulations. You'll also manage relationships with key stakeholders, oversee the administration of registered plans, and serve as the subject matter expert for regulatory changes and process improvements. At times, you'll collaborate with multiple departments to launch innovative product solutions, bundles, and offers.

How you'll succeed
  • Develop and oversee operating model - Lead the creation and ongoing management of the operating model for registered plans within Personal and Business Banking (PBB), ensuring clear stakeholder roles and robust governance.
  • Business leadership - Act as the primary business lead for the growth, management, and administration of registered plans (RESP, RDSP, RRSP, TFSA, FHSA, LIRA, RRIF, LIF).
  • Strategy & initiative development - Define and implement strategies to drive registered plan growth, including platform enhancements (such as AI-driven advice), marketing campaigns, community partnerships, and client/advisor communication tools.
  • Cross-functional collaboration - Partner with product, money-in, and capital markets teams to develop integrated product solutions, bundles, and offers.
  • Client engagement solutions - Work with Global Asset Management (GAM) to develop client engagement strategies and tailored solutions for registered plans.
  • Market & competitive analysis - Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to inform and evolve PBB's registered plan strategies.
  • Operational excellence - Continuously enhance internal processes and models to increase registered plan adoption and improve team knowledge and client advice quality.
  • Stakeholder relationship management - Manage relationships with internal and external partners responsible for administering and servicing registered plans.
  • Data & insights - Develop and maintain data, insights, and benchmarking capabilities to support effective portfolio management.
  • Regulatory & process leadership - Serve as the business sponsor and subject matter expert for regulatory changes, process improvements, and client experience enhancements, collaborating with Operations, Risk, and Delivery teams.
