Sr. Director of Business Development - Peptides / Sterile Injectables

Location: Remote
* **must be willing to travel to California once a month!***
Salary:
230K-250K + Bonus

The Role

Sr. Director of Business Development owns end-to-end accountability for a high-growth injectable therapy business. You will lead expansion across clinic and telehealth channels, define strategic partnerships across 503A and 503B compounding networks, and act as the senior voice of the business across science, supply chain, and competitive positioning in the injectable/IV therapy market.

What You'll Do

Own the Business & Strategy
  • Lead the overall business strategy, operating plan, and P&L
  • Define and execute the long-term growth agenda
  • Drive expansion across clinic, telehealth, and international markets
  • Evaluate market trends, regulatory requirements (FDA, USP, cGMP), and competitive landscape

Build & Scale Commercial Operations
  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing commercial organization
  • Drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and performance targets
  • Oversee end-to-end commercial execution across all channels

Lead Partnerships & Market Expansion
  • Define strategy for 503A & 503B partner engagement and prioritization
  • Establish and grow partnerships with clinics, providers, pharmacies, and telehealth platforms
  • Drive end sales across clinical and digital care models
  • Expand distribution channels and unlock new revenue streams

Be the Market & Category Leader
  • Serve as the company's senior authority on IV and injectable therapies
  • Represent the business internally and externally across science, supply chain, and market dynamics
  • Position the company as a leader in the injectable therapy space

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner across R&D, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, and Operations
  • Align commercial strategy with supply chain and product delivery
  • Ensure operational execution supports growth and profitability

Performance & Executive Visibility
  • Own KPIs including revenue, margin, and channel performance
  • Report business performance and forecasts to executive leadership
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences

Qualifications

  • Experience securing and managing large, high-value partnerships or contracts.
  • Strong contract negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Pharmaceutical or life sciences experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build, scale, and lead a growing business.
