The Role:

As the Senior Digital Product Manager, Advice, you will drive the evolution of Scotia's digital advice experience. In this role, you'll lead the delivery of innovative features and enhancements for our digital advice experience across mobile and web channels-shaping how clients discover, access, and act on personalized financial guidance, from goal planning to financial wellbeing insights.

You will work at the intersection of customer experience, business strategy, data, design, and technology to create advice experiences that are intuitive, personalized, and impactful. The role emphasizes ownership of roadmap and backlog prioritization, customer-centric design, data-driven decision making, and close partnership with Business, Engineering, and Design teams.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Prioritize and manage the backlog for digital advice capabilities-spanning multiple business lines-with a thorough understanding of the technological ecosystem that support these capabilities
  • Gather, document, and refine business requirements: Lead and support the understanding and documenting of business needs through Agile methods such as user stories, acceptance criteria, definition of done, etc.
  • Support discovery and development of the product strategy and roadmap for digital advice capabilities
  • Use data to drive decisions, build hypotheses, test and iterate, including planning for the right incorporation of data and analytics strategies into roadmap
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, wealth and retail banking partners, legal, compliance, risk, analytics, and technology teams
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk

  • Minimum 5 years experience in building customer facing digital products
  • Managed a technology product or a digital journey end to end, from inception to delivery
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, instill confidence and influence stakeholders
  • Skilled at identifying and solving ambiguous problems to drive customer and business value
  • Knowledgeable about multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Agile/Scrum, Engineering, UX/UI Design, Finance
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organizations
