Overview

Hybrid (3 days in NYC office)

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Data Analyst to join our Merchandising, Planning, Allocation & Replenishment analytics team within our Global Data & Analytics organization. This role will be instrumental in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, enhancing the quality/usage of our existing data products and analytics services, and building new capabilities. This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization with a focus on providing the business with actionable insights to drive inventory optimization, assortment strategies, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex analytical projects from inception to completion
  • Transform and distill high complexity/high impact business inquiries into innovative analytic solutions, aligning both data teams and business clients on approach
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data infrastructure supports analytical needs.
  • Communicate findings and strategic recommendations to leadership through reports and presentations
  • Utilizing SQL, Power BI and other analytical toolsets, to support Merchandising, Planning, Allocation & Replenishment teams' analytical requests
  • Conceptualize, build and operationalize data products per business needs and requirement.
  • Ability to lead a group of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and BI Engineers.
  • Strong ability to interact with business, technical and functional teams. Act as a liaison between the business and IT for requirements and design.
  • Research and troubleshoot problems & questions related to deployed analytical solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge on the latest data technology and best practices
  • Maintain knowledge on the latest retail trends in industry
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in data analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel and Power BI Python is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Experience with AI tools/methodologies, such as prompt engineering, generative AI, NLP, and AI model training a big plus.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication with both technical and business teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Learner mindset. Must be able to think both creatively and critically
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of retail concepts, and ability to understand and work with retail data
  • Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $95,000 - $115,000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
