Get to Know the Opportunity: Heavily involved in advancing departmental initiatives by participating in, and sometimes leading, high-level project work as assigned. Using accumulated knowledge and experience, assist the team with complex claims, act as a liaison for internal partners, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, assist in data gathering and analysis for internal reporting as well as market conduct and state exams. Actively suggests and operationalizes adjustments to standard work as the need arises. May be expected to assist IT through technical/process flow contributions, defining user requirements, user acceptance testing and implementing business driven solutions.
The Contributions You'll Make: - Manage external and internal audits
- Serves as a technical and business process expert for the staff and management of the Claims team.
- Has a high level understanding of the claims data available and can provide analysis to support management reporting and quality control of all processes. Ability to identify and validate data need for audits.
- Ability to conduct data analysis with recommendations to management as it relates to claim processing, metrics and staffing.
- Competent to work at a high level of business complexity and a good understanding of multiple administration systems. Ability to troubleshoot the claim transactions within those systems. Work with system BAs to determine work around or solution.
- Participates in process improvement and projects related to areas of expertise with a focus on Continuous Improvement.
- Lead small to medium sized projects that may involve processes, systems and controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have hands-on experience with FINEOS
- 10+ years claims experience in an environment that requires strong analytical and communication skills preferred
- Claim auditing experience to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Previous experience in process or system improvement projects and ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Strong ability to influence and motivate others, to include across departments, to solution for shared customers

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
