Sr Business Analyst

Consultant II

Support organizational decision-making by transforming health care operations data into concise and actionable system solutions supporting Business Intelligence activities.

The opportunity:
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems, processes, and user needs and document these findings to support BI-centric solutions.
• Mentor other Business Analysts in the team and lead group of developers for managing project implementations.
• Demonstrates ability to develop and implement new process flow controls for project implementation.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of client organizational structure and business processes and then leverages that knowledge in project related efforts.
• Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives to align with business strategies. Demonstrates expertise with relational databases, reporting and customers' use of data/information in decision-making.
• Utilizes strong SQL query writing skills to perform data analysis. Demonstrates ability to plan and accomplish goals.
• Employs collaborative approach to working with technical staff. Translates business needs, processes and procedures into documents a solution architect can leverage. Proposes solution options, when appropriate.
• Utilizes superior communication skills to collaborate with technology experts and business stakeholders.
• Works closely with architects and other technology staff (e.g. developers and quality assurance analysts) to deliver project results.
• Tracks, documents and communicates project status/issues/obstacles quickly and clearly through appropriate organizational and project leadership channels.
• Identifies documents and communicates opportunities for enhancement/improvement in both internal BI and client organizations.
• Develops documents for BI applications, report mock-ups, systems specification and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies.
• Develops and manages client/customer relationships, both internally and externally. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management. Works under limited supervision of Data Warehouse Manager.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.

What you need:
• Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, or other technology related discipline.
• Specifications: 8+ years' related, professional experience.
• 5+ years' health care industry experience, preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business needs and work with technical staff to formulate EDW-centric solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
• Demonstrated developing requirements and functional specifications, testing, and user satisfaction testing.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting/visualization platforms
• Ability to communicate well with business owners and technical staff for effective scope control and timely project completion.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills; Ability to multitask.
• Ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, required.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote- US

Compensation Range: $102,000-$153,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
