Position Overview: ZenPoint Solutions is seeking several
SQL Database Administrators to provide comprehensive database management support related to the global federal customer's IT environment.
This position is contingent upon successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Tier II support for all databases and Tier III for all SQL databases, including the Customer Consolidated Database (CCD) and related databases, as well as databases supporting both legacy and modernized client/server and web-based applications.
- Support modernized databases and assist with modernization initiatives.
- Conduct proactive and reactive monitoring, responding to incidents and alerts generated by database monitoring software integrated within the Enterprise Event Management and Monitoring capability.
- Conduct manual maintenance, deployment, diagnostic health checks, validation. Reporting processes shall be automated, whenever feasible.
- Perform routine database tuning, generate performance/usage reports, and apply DoS-authorized patches.
- Execute and validate scheduled onsite/offsite backups and restores.
- Support integration of database service with partner agencies and internal applications, including managing middleware and messaging queues (e.g., Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) infrastructure).
- Manage physical and virtual infrastructure supporting databases in accordance with Government security and emergency protocols.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:- Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
- Five or more years of work experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
Preferred Qualifications:- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
