Work Schedule: 9am-5pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday. This will be a hybrid opportunity, with the requirement to report to the customer site in Washington DC as needed

Position Overview: ZenPoint Solutions is looking for a Technical Lead to lead technical execution, mentor engineering personnel, and drive software delivery across a federal customer's program that provides technical, engineering, and DevSecOps capabilities to optimize, secure, and modernize enterprise software platforms and shared integration infrastructure. Supporting a complex portfolio that encompasses modern web applications, legacy 2-tier systems, Salesforce platforms, and over 300 database instances shipping more than 120 production releases annually, the Technical Lead will design loosely coupled system architectures and drive DevSecOps, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline innovations across the enterprise

This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and problem resolution across software development, system architecture, and DevSecOps workstreams.
• Drive system architecture designs toward loosely coupled system-of-systems implementations utilizing microservices, event-driven patterns, and modular design principles.
• Oversee shared tools, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Nexus) to enforce continuous integration, automated testing, and secure code delivery.
• Implement and maintain software quality logic gates and automated scans using SonarQube, Nexus IQ, and static/dynamic code analysis platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to accelerate modern build-and-replace modernization strategies and cloud migration initiatives.
• Lead performance engineering strategies, system monitoring (AppDynamics), and environment optimizations across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Streamline Authority to Operate (ATO) maintenance through continuous security checks and Risk Management Framework (RMF) automation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on software development experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in modern programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python).
• Proven experience with enterprise cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency with DevOps orchestration tools, including Jenkins and Git-based CI systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
• Experience delivering software using Agile, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies.
• Ability to mentor team members and to resolve complex technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization platforms (Red Hat OpenShift, Docker) and automation tools (Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform).
• Familiarity with legacy enterprise architectures (.NET, PowerBuilder, Oracle/SQL Server databases, Salesforce).
• Knowledge of automated continuous testing frameworks (ACCELQ) and performance/logging platforms (Splunk, AppDynamics).
• Prior experience working within federal IT environments.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
