Specialist Product Manager, Digital Asset Solutions
The Specialist Product Manager, Digital Asset Solutions is responsible for executing the strategy of the Global Product Management Office for Northern Trust’s digital asset product suite. This role drives product commercialization, innovation, and product lifecycle initiatives, including market assessment, product launches, and ongoing product enhancements. Partnering across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Sales, and Relationship Management, the position delivers market-leading digital asset solutions, supports revenue growth, and enhances client outcomes.
Product Strategy & Innovation
• Own the global digital asset portfolio, strategy, and roadmap.
• Convert capabilities, data, reporting, and services into differentiated client solutions.
• Assess market trends, identify opportunities, and represent Northern Trust externally.
Stakeholder Leadership & Commercialization
• Align senior leaders and cross-functional partners on priorities and decisions.
• Partner with Sales and Relationship Management on client opportunities.
• Lead pricing, business cases, investment decisions, and revenue opportunities.
Product Execution & Governance
• Drive delivery across the product lifecycle.
• Oversee product enhancements, launches, and ongoing performance.
• Manage governance, risk, controls, dependencies, and outcomes.
Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in financial services with significant product management, product strategy, digital product, or technology delivery experience.
• Experience developing and scaling digital asset solutions, including distributed ledger technology (DLT), tokenization, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), stablecoins, and related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of asset servicing products, including custody, cash, fund services, and related capabilities.
• Experience leading product commercialization, pricing strategy, investment prioritization, and business case development.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive results across complex, matrixed organizations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic mindset, strong execution focus, and commercial acumen.
Salary Range:
$137,400 - 233,600 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
