SummaryThe Specialist, IT Infrastructure - Systems Administrator will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the site's operating environment, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance and security of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring and upkeeping the operating environments; responding to incidents & problems, planning for growth, deployment of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain and perform testing of PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware. Support core networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless setups. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting problems as reported by users, supporting Web access and telephony services.

- In-depth knowledge of the Windows OS (server and client), Active directory and the desktop operating environment. Linux and other mainstream OS knowledge will be helpful.
- Building, sizing and deploying Windows Server experience and Nutanix/VMware implementation experience a plus - minimum of 5 years building/troubleshooting servers.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts, Layer2 VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Cisco experience is a plus - minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Basic understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards (including Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7), how signals travel, signal-to-noise ratios (SNR), and dealing with interference or dead zones.
- Advanced knowledge of infrastructure service management & diagnostic tools and processes
- Advanced knowledge of end-point security management tools and processes
- Experience handling network security issues (viruses, malware, social engineering)
- Understanding of IT Infrastructure asset lifecycle management
Typical Experience- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role or industry.
Typical Education- Bachelor's Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
