About the Role

This is a high-impact role within Uber AI Solutions where you will hold a high-impact role on a new team inside the organization. You will be the technical expert responsible for architecting and executing the \"Technical Win\" in high-stakes enterprise engagement. You will leverage Uber's proprietary technology and operational excellence to solve the most complex AI data challenges for world-leading companies in Autonomous Systems, Robotics, and Generative AI.

This opportunity is designed for a hands-on technical architect who thrives in a pre-sales environment, is eager to translate complex customer needs into clear, executable technical blueprints, and acts as a critical voice in defining our product's future.

What You'll Do

1. Technical Pre-Sales & Deal Scoping: Own the \"Technical Win\" by serving as the primary technical authority. This involves evaluating complex customer AI/ML data needs, translating them into rigorous Scopes of Work (SOWs) and Proof of Concepts (POCs), and documenting the end-to-end technical solution for commercial viability.
2. Solutions Architecture & Prototyping: Design and develop foundational \"Solution Blueprints\" for core industries (Autonomous Systems, Robotics, GenAI). Lead the technical design of scalable data and operational architectures, requiring hands-on work (e.g., Python) to build prototypes, unblock pilots, and create repeatable frameworks and technical playbooks.
3. Client & Internal Advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior leaders, translating Uber AI Solutions' capabilities into measurable business outcomes. This includes partnering with Sales and Program Managers and collaborating with global teams to ensure solutions are scalable and compliant with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
4. Product Strategy & Feedback Loop: Act as the primary conduit for field intelligence. Distill unique customer requirements and market gaps into clear, actionable feature requests to directly influence and ensure the Uber AI Solutions product roadmap meets the evolving needs of advanced AI labs.

Basic Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience leading technical programs in AI, Robotics, or Autonomous Systems, with a focus on cross-functional delivery.
2. Proven track record managing the end-to-end AI lifecycle, including data strategy, HITL workflows, and Generative AI deployments.
3. Experience delivering AI data solutions across various regions and languages.
4. Expert at translating complex technical roadmaps into clear business outcomes and milestones for executive-level stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience delivering AI data solutions across various regions and languages.
2. A sophisticated understanding of enterprise sales processes and GTM strategy.
3. Strong ability to navigate technical trade-offs and code-heavy environments (e.g., Python) to identify program risks and dependencies.
4. Experience with a hyperscaler or SaaS platform environment.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$150,000 per year - USD$167,000 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year.

For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
