As a Software Test Analyst, you will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, identify and document software defects, and collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and business analysts. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, API testing, database verification, and Agile/Scrum frameworks

Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Design
  • Requirement Analysis: Analyze product requirements, user stories, and technical design documents to identify testing requirements and define test coverage.
  • Test Case Development: Design, write, and maintain detailed, reusable, and easy-to-understand test cases, test scripts, and test data for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Test Strategy Collaboration: Participate in QA planning sessions, estimating testing efforts and contributing to the overall test strategy.

Test Execution & Defect Management
  • Manual & Automated Execution: Execute manual test cases and run automated test scripts across various platforms (Web, Mobile, Desktop) and environments.
  • Defect Tracking: Identify, isolate, replicate, and document software defects in a clear and concise manner using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Triage & Verification: Collaborate with developers to resolve defects, perform re-testing, and conduct thorough regression testing to ensure fixes do not introduce new issues.
  • API & Database Testing: Perform backend testing, including API validation and database verification using SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and best practices within the team.

  • Platform Familiarity: Experience testing web applications across multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and mobile operating systems (iOS, Android).
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

Professional & Soft Skills
  • Analytical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team
