You would join a team of three software engineers as we pivot to provide value in our new cloud and enterprise platform. The applications will support hedge fund operations and will also assist investment teams with data to help them make decisions.Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team, specializing in full-stack development for hedge fund applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern web technologies and cloud platforms, enabling them to design and implement robust software solutions that meet our business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure web applications using React, JavaScript and Python.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment processes.
- Architect and implement cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, leveraging PaaS, serverless and containerized services.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
- Implement best practices in software development, including test-driven development (TDD), automated testing and code reviews.
- Utilize Azure services to deploy and manage cloud applications.
- Work with SQL databases to design and optimize data storage solutions.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Software development experience for a hedge-fund or bank from sell side is required.
- 5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on full-stack web application development.
- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with Azure cloud services and deployment practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes.)
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and authentication.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
