Position OverviewAs a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
The primary responsibilities include designing Java applications and programs, conducting tests on Java software, and implementing solutions to technical issues across various Java platforms for the client implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Payables application. Along with support requests.
Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities- Develop and maintain end-to-end internal applications using Java, including both frontend and backend components.
- Design and implement server networking solutions, optimizing performance and reliability.
- Integrate APIs and manage data flow between distributed systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring high availability and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to streamline deployment and testing processes.
Preferred Skills:- Proven experience with Java, Node.js, Spring Framework, and server-side development.
- Intermediate understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, WebSockets).
- Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular/HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Understanding of database management and SQL queries.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Capability to debug and optimize applications for performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Pay TransparencyBase Salary: $55,000.00 - $138,000.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
