Full Job Description
The Business and Information Services division (BIS) is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team. As a Software Engineer at the Professional Technical 4 level, you will oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will help advance a team of talented engineers, providing guidance through complex technical challenges, and driving innovation within the team. This position is ideal for seasoned professionals with 6+ years of software development experience who are eager to take on leadership responsibilities and influence the strategic direction of our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers.
  • Architect and design scalable and efficient software systems.
  • Ensure high code quality through code reviews and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement.

Position Requirements
  • PT4: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or related experience in Computer Science, with 6+ years of experience in software development, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in software development, or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle) and SQL
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in software projects
  • Expertise in software architecture and design patterns
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
