Full Job Description
About the role

The mandate is real, the ownership is yours. You'll work directly with the teams building and running GoBolt's logistics platform - helping identify where engineering quality can improve, where delivery pipelines have gaps, and where solid technical solutions unlock scale. Sometimes that means shipping new features. Sometimes it means improving how an existing workflow runs. Often, it means both.

Read on if you're a developer who enjoys working across the backend and product, and wants to contribute to infrastructure that moves real goods for real customers.

Salary Range:CAD$110k-135k base

This is a hybrid role based out of our Downtown Toronto office.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with product, ops, and data teams - taking time to understand customer workflow challenges before jumping into solutions.
  • Participate in product reviews from a technical perspective: helping identify requirements, flagging edge cases, and contributing to trade-off discussions that keep deliveries moving.
  • Take ownership of technical problems through the full lifecycle - from design and development through to deployment and iteration.
  • Stay curious about new technologies and tooling that could improve system performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to engineering quality across the team - following code standards, maintaining CI/CD hygiene, and participating in code reviews that help the whole team grow.
  • Work with your team and engineering leads to understand priorities and contribute meaningfully to what gets built and why.
  • Share knowledge and learn from teammates through technical discussions, documentation, and day-to-day collaboration.

What you bring

  • 2+ years of full-stack development experience, with exposure to shipping features across web and/or mobile in production environments.
  • Fluency in one or more of JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, React, Node.js or Nest.js - and a genuine willingness to learn what the problem requires.
  • Some hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to collaborate with non-engineers - you can follow along in an ops discussion, ask clarifying questions, and help translate what you hear into workable solutions.
  • A bias for action. You make reasonable calls, follow through on tasks, and keep work moving without needing every detail spelled out.
  • Comfort with some ambiguity. You can take a loosely defined problem, break it down, and work toward a concrete solution.
  • A sense of ownership - you flag blockers early, take your work seriously, and care about the quality of what you ship.
  • Openness to AI tools. You're curious about how AI can make you more effective and are actively exploring that.
  • Bonus points for any exposure to 3PL, transportation, logistics, or supply chain.
