Social Media Manager

Amalgamated Banks seeks an enthusiastic Social Media Manager to support the Marketing Department in managing a social strategy that supports and elevates the brand through creating innovative social content, strategies and brand campaigns.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Execute a clear and impactful social strategy that will grow the bank's social media following, increase engagement, and position the bank as a unique thought leader in the socially responsible space.
2. Own all day-to-day operations for the bank's owned social media channels, including daily monitoring and engagement on the bank's channels.
3. Work with the creative team to develop new and engaging content ideas and strategies to engage the bank's audience.
4. Identify and manage external partnerships and campaigns with relevant brands, organizations, and influencers.
5. Manage and have a deep understanding of paid social media strategies and buys.
6. Provide social media support to internal stakeholder initiatives.
7. Develop and manage editorial calendar to ensure alignment of content with relevant seasonal, product, and brand events.
8. Develop and maintain regular reports on social analytics and track against KPIs, optimizing content with the use of analytical tools with actionable recommendations.
9. Identify emerging social channels, trends and content.
10. Work to ensure alignment on content that builds brand awareness and optimizes growth strategies.
11. Develop deep understanding of company brand voice and tone.
12. Provide general marketing support and assist with other marketing functions and day-to-day requests as needed.
13. Perform other duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2. 5-7 years of related experience in social media marketing
3. Deep understanding of social media channels in B2B and B2C engagement
4. Ability to utilize digital and social marketing to meet marketing and company-wide objectives
5. Proven experience creating social media content, campaigns and strategy
6. Experience with social media analytics platforms and tools
7. In-depth understanding of marketing, industry, and social media trends
8. Ability to manage and track campaign KPIs and SEO
9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, deliverables and deadlines simultaneously and with flexibility
10. Vendor management experience
11. Excellent writer with strong verbal and presentation skills
12. Ability to work effectively as part of a team to drive projects and deliverables

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $80,000.00 - $95,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
