We are looking for a talented Site Manufacturing - Quality Leader to join our team specializing in Quality for our location in Manning, SC

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Customer Focus: Build strong, trust based relationships with customers and deliver solutions that consistently reflect their needs and expectations.
  • Develops Talent: Coach, mentor, and grow team members so they can achieve their career goals while strengthening overall organizational capability.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning: Lead structured, measurable quality planning activities that ensure customer satisfaction and align with industry standards.
  • Problem Solving: Apply systematic, data driven problem-solving methods to eliminate root causes, prevent recurrence, and protect the customer experience.
  • Project Resource Management: Create and manage effective resource plans-both headcount and budget-to keep quality initiatives on track and well supported.
  • Quality Leadership (COS): Champion Cummins Operating System principles to build a strong quality culture, drive continuous improvement, and align processes with customer and business requirements.
  • Quality Process & Systems Management: Use advanced quality tools and maintain robust quality systems to ensure products, processes, and services consistently meet or exceed requirements.
  • Quality 4.0 & Statistical Foundations: Leverage digital tools, data analytics, and statistical methods to influence decisions, improve process performance, and drive modern, technology enabled quality outcomes.


Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Strong Quality & Compliance Leadership: Deep expertise in plant quality systems, industry standards (IATF, APQP, PPAP), audit readiness, and the ability to halt production when product integrity is at risk.
  • Operational & Strategic Execution: Ability to set quality priorities, lead Annual Operating Plan objectives, manage resources, drive continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, IQTM), and align quality practices with emerging digital and manufacturing technologies.
  • People & Change Leadership: Skill in developing Quality Engineers and Metrology teams, leading cross functional improvement groups, influencing stakeholders, and acting as a change agent who balances innovation with day to day operational needs.
  • Technical & Manufacturing Expertise: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment selection, workflow optimization, and the ability to identify product/process improvements-including sustainability opportunities-to support long term operational excellence.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Demonstrated role competence is required. College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Significant relevant work experience required. Preferably 5-7 years' experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management role in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry.
Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
  • Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.
  • Manufacturing Business Model Application - Demonstrates capability in organizing and improving the steps of how workflow should occur by using the current documented Cummins processes and key practices used to drive improvements within the business to show a common framework for manufacturing functional excellence within the company.
  • Manages personnel in the Manufacturing Engineering Function related to departmental activities and performance standards.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives including capital, daily operations, and organization structure.
  • Provides technical inputs and direction for Manufacturing.
