Dematic has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate must have 0-8 years of mechanical design experience. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus. Candidate should have knowledge of Siemens NX CAD/CAM software and AutoCAD software.
Tasks and Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new concepts, create layouts, and detail designs.
- Perform in-depth engineering analysis and calculations.
- Coordinate with engineers of other disciplines to ensure a functional design.
- Supervise designers and drafters in preparation of production drawings.
- Estimate cost and design requirements for external customers.
- Support manufacturing and field installation of equipment.
- Travels up to 25% to different customer locations/Dematic locations.
Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
