Job Description:

The ServiceNow Jr Developer will be part of an agile team of BSAs, Sys Admin, Designer and Developers, building out and/or supporting the implementation of OOB Modules, custom applications, 3rd party integrations and Automated Testing Framework (ATF) capabilities within ServiceNow. Successful candidates will be able to think critically in solving mission critical issues, supporting end to end development of both front-end and back-end development including workflow and custom plug-ins. The Jr Developer will be playing a key role in our team by performing a mix of BSA work and development work. The successful candidate will continue building development skills/experience including training with the potential to move into a full-time agile developer role.

What you'll do?

• Actively participate in agile daily scrums, updating stories daily in JIRA/SNOW, documenting development progress and collaborating across platform teams
• Create, take ownership and update work tickets
• Support in the development of automated testing scripts or the updating of existing scripts as required.
• Support and participate in customer requirement workshops, working with product owner/stakeholders to configure/develop requested items and tasks
• Work with project teams to understand business/system requirements and solution designs and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Develop / enhance applications (scoped and out of the box) working with ServiceNow Studio for NOW Mobile
• Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc.
• Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal)
• Create and maintain design documentation

What you'll need to succeed?

• Experience in ServiceNow configuration for low/no-code solutions
• High level understanding of ServiceNow workflows
• Experience with HTML5, JAVA, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Angular.js
• Familiarity with ITSM functions (Incident, Change, Problem, Config)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
