Full Job Description
As a Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) Process Owner here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be a Configuration Management & Asset Governance Process Expert to establish and standardize enterprise processes and governance for Configuration Management (CMDB), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Software Asset Management (SAM) within the ServiceNow platform. You will report directly to our IT Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ or Charlotte, NC location. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days. In this role, you will lead to the design and implementation of a scalable governance framework focused on improving data quality, lifecycle management, and operational integrity of configuration items (CIs) and assets. The position will ensure alignment with Honeywell Aerospace standards, ServiceNow best practices, and enterprise data governance principles. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: 3 Define and standardize enterprise processes for Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), HAM, and SAM 3 Establish governance frameworks including roles, ownership, and accountability models across CI classes and asset domains 3 Define and enforce Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and data standards to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of CMDB records 3 Implement governance controls including data validation, audits, and monitoring to maintain data integrity 3 Design and implement lifecycle governance controls for assets and configuration items, from onboarding to decommissioning 3 Introduce lifecycle state gates to ensure only validated and compliant CIs support production environments 3 Align CMDB, HAM, and SAM processes with ServiceNow platform standards, service taxonomy, and CI management practices 3 Partner with platform teams to embed governance into workflows, data models, and reporting 3 Partner with IT, service owners, CMDB administrators, and asset managers to ensure adoption of standardized processes and governance practices 3 Drive accountability and collaboration to establish a trusted system of record for assets and configuration data Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE 3 Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field. 3 Minimum 5 years of proven experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) 3 Minimum 5 years of experience in defining and enforcing enterprise process standards and operating models. 3 Minimum 3 years of experience with configuration management processes and governance frameworks 3 Minimum 3 years of experience implementing data governance, data quality controls, and lifecycle management practices 3 Experience maturing enterprise CMDB governance programs 3 Experience with critical data elements, CI class ownership, and data lifecycle governance 3 Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments with cross-functional stakeholders 3 Knowledge of ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CMDB Table Structure 3 Knowledge of CMDB and Asset Synchronization Rules and Logic 3 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. 3 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
