In this Sr Web Software Engineer role, you will lead and develop the web frontend of GM Commercial Software. What You'll Do- Collaborate with the product to implement responsive, visually appealing functionality using React. Ensure the usability and accessibility of web applications for a wide range of users.
- Build and launch new capabilities and products that bring significant value to customers internal and external
- Uphold our high engineering standards. Elevate quality and engineering efficiency within our codebases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including product, design, and other engineering functions.
- Mentor engineers earlier in their technical career to help them grow.
- Explore new technologies and enrich our technological stack.
- Actively participate in technical discussions and deep dives with architectural groups.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)- 5+ years of hands-on web application development
- Strong understanding and experience with React, Redux, and design systems.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of the applications.
- Write high quality production code that is tested thoroughly, supported by clear documentation and has appropriate production observability
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile development environment.
- Experience working independently and drive features or components throughout the development lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, OO, data structures, and algorithms.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)- Strong product focus and acumen.
- Experience with IoT stack is a big plus
- A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The salary range for this role is
$153,200 - $269,200. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as the geography of the selected candidate.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
