  • Document engineering processes and specifications as necessary.
  • Recommend document formats that meet technical and customer needs.
  • Ensure produced materials conform to company standards and quality assurance guidelines.
  • Develop strategies for documenting that ensure project deliverables align with the labeling portfolio.

About the Role

The Senior Technical Writer scopes, revises and drafts a variety of patient-facing technical literature needed to support a broad medical device portfolio

Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for executing project requirements in the creation of technical literature.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia, web-based publications and user sites; may produce content for embedded user assistance technology.
  • Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.
  • Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users.
  • May document engineering processes and specifications.
  • Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
  • Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
  • Develops literature strategies to deliver both individual project deliverables and integrate those deliverables with the rest of the labeling portfolio and drive standardization.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$75,000.00 - $127,000.00

For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $83,000 - $141,000 USD.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
