S3 is looking for an talented and experienced TPM to drive forecast planning, capital cost management and utilization of S3 storage bytes. With Exabytes of storage under operation globally and growing, forecasting growth and managing the storage efficiently has a direct impact the bottom line for S3. You will partner with Engineering teams to define roadmap to manage the forecasting to stay ahead of customer demand and Capital planning for multi-million dollars efficiently. You will be responsible for defining how the roadmap is delivered, bringing teams across organizations together, anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, driving necessary trade-offs by balancing the business needs and technical or resource constraints. An ability to take large, technically complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop actionable plans and successfully deliver them is expected.
Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience with server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
- Experience in managing cost metrics, budget and capital planning along with understanading and establishing KPI to measure efficiency
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
