Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Senior Talent Specialist acts as the primary interface for Sinai and is the liaison between specialty area candidates and hiring managers. Provides guidance to hiring managers to aid in the selection of the strongest candidate, negotiates offers and start dates, and ensures a smooth onboarding process for the new hires. The Senior Talent Specialist is responsible for full life cycle recruiting, and developing strategic sourcing strategies for a variety of different types and levels of healthcare positions. Serves as a mentor and team lead for workforce planning, branding, and special assigned recruitment projects. This includes maintaining a talent pipeline by proactively sourcing active and passive candidates, developing recruitment plans, establishing strong educational and community partnerships, and hosting events to attract new talent. The Senior Talent Specialist partners with hiring managers to interpret position requirements, and provide consulting expertise as a strategic advisor to lead talent searches. In this role, the Senior Talent Specialist will source talent for multiple open requisitions simultaneously, utilizing various recruiting tools, sourcing channels and techniques to identify talent. Proactively drives the recruiting process, problem solving to address challenges, provides solutions and market intelligence to hiring managers to support the sourcing strategy and sourcing channels identified. Utilizes data, analyzes the recruiting metrics, recommends process improvements based on recruiting metrics to develop and maintain a progressive and positive recruitment and employer brand.

Key Job Activities:
  • Manage all phases of an assigned specialty area by recruiting a full life cycle: intake, sourcing, screening, selection, offer, and onboarding.
  • Works as team lead for special recruitment and workforce management projects such as site nursing or Hard to Fill Strategy planning, workforce development planning/career ladders, Workforce RIF consultation, team mentoring, production and other recruitment projects as assigned.
  • Ability to source talent, develop sourcing strategies for a variety of positions and required skills, using a variety of sourcing channels. Ability to conduct a phone interview to determine candidates' qualifications, and submit candidate slates to hiring managers.
  • In collaboration with the direct manager, we develop talent strategies to support and optimize recruitment in assigned functional areas. Actively source passive talent by conducting market research, developing professional relationships and referral networks, finding and reaching out to passive individuals via, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics, cycle time, hiring sources; utilize the data to consult with hiring managers on effective hiring strategies. Update candidate's status; ensure accuracy of applicant's tracking data.
  • Exceptional ability to problem-solve and identify solutions to overcome challenges. Communicate updates to hiring managers on a regular basis.
  • Consult with hiring managers on offer details, obtain offer approval from appropriate parties, execute the offer, and manage all negotiations throughout the offer process.
  • Ability to give strong attention to customer service and build relationships with managers, candidates, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to utilize a consultative approach, including the ability to win over difficult clients and come up with solutions.
  • Solid technical expertise and the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly. Execute sourcing via existing and emerging channels using traditional and advanced communication tools (e.g. social media networking, user groups, and other in-person networking activities) to identify and obtain information about potential candidates.
  • Ensures compliance with EEO laws and Sinai hiring goals as well as compliance with all federal and state employment laws as they relate to recruitment and selection.

Education and Work Experience:
  • B.A. in Human Resources and/or related field; Masters preferred
  • Masters or higher degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Five years relevant recruitment experience
  • Experience in a union environment preferred

  • Highly inquisitive to challenge the status quo
  • Experience in EPIC and MEDITECH software systems preferred.
