The ideal candidate will possess construction recruiting experience, excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a passion for connecting talented individuals with exciting career opportunities. This is an onsite role covering full-cycle recruiting for an assigned business unit, division, or specialty, with expectations to flex to other recruiting needs across the business as assigned.

Position Details
  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions.
  • Work with TA Coordinators, Hiring Managers, and Candidates for interview scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (Workday).
  • Live the 'People-First' Southland brand by delivering a world-class candidate experience - communicating proactively throughout the recruitment process and providing timely updates and feedback.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition leadership to understand the current state of the business and forecasted talent needs, helping develop and deploy strategic recruiting plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruiting to continuously improve recruitment processes and strategies.
  • Independently manage full-cycle recruiting for higher-complexity, senior-level, or hard-to-fill requisitions with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on hiring strategy, market conditions, and candidate positioning.
  • Provide informal guidance and best-practice coaching to less experienced team members, including Talent Acquisition Partners, Associate.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter within the construction industry required.
  • Ability to "talk the same language" and partner with hiring managers to understand needs, using that insight to effectively sell opportunities to candidates.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment tools and techniques, including passive recruiting, Boolean searching, and cold calling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify improvements - we're always looking for ways to be better, faster, stronger.
